Superb eating fish such as Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Nannygai, Sweetlip head the list of dozens of species likely to be caught while fishing the deep holes around the reefs. Not knowing what you're going to pull up next certainly adds to the anticipation and many of these fish pull hard enough to be more than worthy quarries even on the heavy hand lines necessary for this style of fishing. For the sportsfishing enthusiast, rod and reel fishing can be arranged. A typical day starts at 07.00 and returns 17.00. Hotel pickups from the Cairns CBD area are from 6.50am - 7.15am, Northern Beaches are from 7.20am and Port Douglas Pickups are from 8.20am. Lush farmland contrasts with seascape as you approach the majestic Daintree River. Time for a short morning tea break then it’s 'all aboard' for an informative river cruise. Relax and enjoy the splendour only the Daintree can offer as you learn of Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests and wildlife, this is nature at its best! The tour ascends the Alexandra Range and pause for a panoramic view of World Heritage Tropical Rainforest merging with the azure colours of the Coral Sea. Experience the rainforest intimately on an elevated National Park Boardwalk.
